This female duo got Mr. Wonderful to invest 75K in royalties where he would get 1$ for every cupcake sold until he got his money back and then 0.50$ afterwards. Since getting a deal on Shark Tank, the company has gone from making $7K/month to $400K/month. They are making approximately $4.8 million annually. Business has definitely been good. These ladies are making a killing with their cupcakes!
Lani Lazzari: Simple Sugars
Who can forget the 18 year old girl who appeared on season 4 of Shark Tank? Although just 18, she was able to charm Mark Cuban into investing 100K for 33% of her skincare company. Just six weeks after the show, Simple Sugars had already hit $1 million in sales! Today, Simple Sugars products are located in 700 retail stores and ships internationally. The company has brought in over $300 million in revenue and Mark has said that it’s his most profitable investment from the show.
Gloria Hoffman and Linda Clark: Simply Fit
Co-founders Gloria and Linda convinces the Queen of QVC Lori Greiner to invest in their product. Although there was no patent for their skateboard without wheels that is meant to be a workout tool to reinforce abdominal muscles, Lori she had to act fast. With strategic marketing, Lori brought the product in Home Depot and Walmart where sales went from $575K to $9 million within just 9 months.
Donna and Rosy Khalife: Surprise Ride
Although sisters Donna and Rosy didn’t get a deal while appearing on the show, Kevin O’Leary knew there was something special about these girls. Mr. Wonderful kept track of the sisters and the company did flourish into a success. A few years later, they appeared on a special feature of “Beyond the Tank”. To say that they were surprise to see O’Leary is an understatement. His non-negotiable deal of $50K for 2.5% of the company got the sisters to hesitate only for a moment. They are now part of the Something Wonderful Family and could not be happier.
