Being a career and leadership coach isn’t as easy as it seems. However, Nathalie does it flawlessly and successfully. She has a true gift when it comes to coaching people in their career and leadership roles. This week, we were really lucky to have her sit down and answer some of our questions.
BWR: Can you tell us a little bit about your business?
Nathalie: Coaching is offering career and leadership coaching to managers and professionals. Coaching is a special relationship that the coach and client design together. To serve the client as they move forward in their professional life. As your coach, I will provide direction by helping you find your own answers and act as an accountability partner to meet your objectives.
What you get with my coaching services:
- The creation of your own leadership model
- A better alignment of behaviours with who you are and your values.
- The strategies to truly take your place at the leader’s table.
- To discover your talents and your business skills that will allow you to have a promotion.
- The possibility to know yourself better and thus optimize your confidence.
My passion is to assist managers and professionals to achieve their full potential to become tomorrow’s leaders.
BWR: What inspired you to go into this line of business?
Nathalie: Since always, helping people is dear to my heart. Therefore, I oriented my career in the human resources field. More specifically into talent development. I started my human resources career in the recruitment and talent development field to become a professional coach in recent years. For almost twenty years, I have evolved in large corporate organizations where the political skills are essential to succeed. Like most people, I was looking for my passion. I was trying to identify my career aspirations. In fact, I wanted to have more sense in my life. I have found my voice in giving advice and in guiding the individuals who like me want to have a self-fulfilling career.
BWR: What has been the most challenging part of being an entrepreneur?
Nathalie: The value of the coaching for some managers and professionals is still unknown. And yet so essential considering the personalized follow-up that coaching offers. Also, several people offer coaching services, but few of them have professional certifications confirming their coaching competencies and skills.
BWR: What would you say is the biggest benefit of having a career coach?
Nathalie: Although there are many benefits that can come from coaching, the biggest in my point of view is defining your value proposition while building your confidence. With the help of a career coach, you can create an actionable roadmap toward finding the job of your dreams.
BWR: At what stage in their lives are your clients when they usually contact you?
Nathalie: I would say clients at the beginning of their career and at their mid-career stage who are trying to find their career purpose or would like to make a career change. Most of those clients are looking for answers to the following questions:
- I want to achieve my career goal
- I want to have a positive impact within my organization
- I want to evolve in an environment where my talents are exploited, and I can develop myself.
I also offer my services to newcomers from other provinces or countries to help them become familiar with the context Quebec corporate or Canadian.
BWR: What’s been your biggest marketing strategy?
Nathalie: Every month, I’ve been facilitating career workshops for job seekers and professionals. In these interactive workshops, I invite participants to ask themselves powerful questions to gain clarity on their career objectives. This is a way for me to educate them on what is coaching, how coaching can help them and offer my coaching services. It’s a great strategy as in a short period of time I can get myself known by 8 to 10 possible clients.
BWR: Where do you see yourself in 10 years? What is your main goal?
Nathalie: I want to create a community of professionals who have the desire of a self-fulfilling career. I accompanied more than a hundred professionals and managers to this day. In 10 years, I will be helping and guiding managers and professionals all over the world to develop their full potential. I always push my client limits to move further, for me the status quo is not an option!
