Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra women’s basketball team wraps up a stretch of three consecutive home games with a meeting against Colonial Athletic Association newcomer North Carolina A&T on Sunday, January 8.
Tip-off against the Aggies is set for 2 p.m. from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.

Hofstra women’s basketball will host a free youth skills clinic at the Mack Sports Complex for all kids up to the seventh grade at noon prior to the Pride’s game against North Carolina A&T. Hofstra will also host a girl scout day, with a Hofstra Pride patch giveaway for all girl scouts in attendance.

Hofstra picked up its first CAA win of the season on Friday with a 46-42 win over Elon, pushing Hofstra’s record to 7-7 overall and 1-2 in the conference. Rosi Nicholson led Hofstra with 12 points, while Brandy Thomas pulled down 14 rebounds, and Zyheima Swint recorded three blocks.
The Aggies enter Sunday at 9-5 overall and 3-0 in the CAA following a 68-52 win over Monmouth on Friday. Jazmin Harris leads North Carolina A&T with 15.7 points per game and 9.3 rebounds per game coming into Sunday’s game.
This will be the first-ever meeting between Hofstra and North Carolina A&T in women’s basketball history.
