Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra women’s basketball team looks to go 4-0 at home for the first time since the 2016-17 season when the Pride welcomes Army West Point to the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex for a Wednesday night contest.

Hofstra hosted LIU this past Saturday and came away with a 74-71 win over the Sharks. Brandy Thomas posted her third double-double of the season with 19 points on 7-15 shooting from the floor and 14 rebounds, while adding four assists and two steals. Zyheima Swint also scored 19 points and pulled down a season-best nine rebounds, and Emma Von Essen scored 15 points in her first career start. Rosi Nicholson’s 11 points gave Hofstra four scorers in double-figures against LIU.
Army West Point is 2-5 on the year following a 50-48 win over Sacred Heart on December 1. Picked to finish fifth in the Patriot League Preseason Poll, the Black Knights are led by Sabria Hunter with 13.6 points per game and 13.1 rebounds per game.
Hofstra and Army West Point have split the all-time series at 5-5, but Hofstra won the last meeting; in the 2020-21 opener for both teams, Hofstra won 81-78 over the Black Knights from the Christl Arena.
