CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The P.E.I. Business Women’s Association (PEIBWA) has selected six women entrepreneurs as finalists for its pitch competition.
The Sensational Summer PitchFest, launched in May, is a pitch competition for female entrepreneurs from across the Island looking to grow their capital.
The six finalists include Simonne Cormier of Au Naturel Solutions Inc, Josee Gallant-Gordon of Elm Grove Centre, Sarah Bennetto O’Brien of the Handpie Company, Debbie Brady of Oyster Art, Jenna Shinn and Neally Currie of Sol Paddle Tavern and Rachael Sonola of Sonola Sweets.
The six finalists will receive one-on-one pitch coaching by industry exports before taking part in the live competition for a chance to win $15,000, said PEIBWA in a news release.
The prize money will be used to grow and expand the business’s operations.
The competition will be held in Charlottetown on July 27, where one company will be announced as the festival’s winner.
More information on the competition can be found online.
